Art and design workers in general can expect to see an increase of 12% in opportunities through 2012, while more specific fields have even more optimistic outlooks. Graphic designers and multimedia artists, for instance, are forecasted for a 21% increase, while fine artists, such as sculptures and painters, can look forward to 18% more positions.
